Cabochon Garnet Cross

I had this totally dark red garnet, almost black. No use to man or beast ! SO decided to cut it thin, way beyond the critical angle for garnet light return, knowing that the light will just flow out of the open back I just carved a cross motif in the back for the light to bounces off, together with a cabochon front it came out very worthwhile the time spend on it.
